Epson SureColor P5300 support

Post by dpeterc »

Do you plan to develop support for Epson SureColor P5300?
https://www.epson.de/de_DE/produkte/drucker/large-format/surecolor-p5300/p/40336?pid=40336

Epson does have a Linux driver, but it is very basic, and and has a very serious bug: it does not respect dpi of the printed picture, and it always scales the image to full paper size. The Epson driver woaib-ax-p5300-ww 1.0.0 from November 2023 and January 2024 does not respect
-o position=top-left
-o ppi=720
-o nofitplot
and other options, which are needed for exact page positioning and 1:1 print size printouts.

I think the ink set is quite similar to SC-P700 SC-P900, which are already supported.

So having TurboPrint support for this printer would be very useful.

YES PLEASE!!

It should be relative easy! Because the ink set is the same as the P900. And when installing the driver and choosing the printer as P900 it accept it. And the driver see the printer. It prints with the RIP driver.

At Zedo. I have both the P900 and the P5300. So i can and will act as a testing facility!

For Mac, Windows and Linux. And as you can see in your sold licenses I own the XL license for several Printers and os.

Grtz,
