[SOLVED] DTF - White in BK & PB

Post by wicksandwhims »

Hello,

I recently converted an Epson 8550 printer to DTF, and filled the White DTF ink into BK and PB, and filled the Black DTF Ink into GY. I have tried for DAYS to try and get my prints to come out properly. At first the Black ink was not coming out at all, but I've since managed to fix this, but now the colors are all off. What ICC or color profiles can I use to work for my DTF prints? Any help is greatly appreciated. I don't know what else to do! :(

[new driver available, read post below]

Hello, unfortunately the current PrintFab DTF color management is not very flexible, the assignment for the ET-8550 driver is

Black ink => Black tanks
White ink => Grey tank

We plan to make ink assignment more flexible in the future, but there is no quick solution available.

I'm experiencing the same issue and would prefer not to be required to purchase a PrintFab license to resolve it. I would buy a printfab pro xl right now if it had a work around. a simple assigment of dtf printing with black in gray tank and white in black tanks with solve my issue I do not want to have to flush my tanks already.

Hello, the DTF ink assignment is still fixed, however there is a new driver available that supports the ink configuration you need

Epson EcoTank ET-8550 RIP

White -> BK, PB Tanks
Black -> GY Tank

Just make sure to select the driver with the postfix "RIP" when setting up your printer in the PrintFab app (Windows) or PrintFab Toolbox app (Mac).
