Canon Pro-100 and black

Post by JurgyMan »

I have setup Turboprint on MX Linux and printed a test page via Turboprint and the colors looking good and all are present, including black and greys.
But when I print from Gimp or Darktable, the prints have no blacks and look cartoonish.
I have the Canon Pro-100 successfully detected via usb. Specified the Canon ink and Canon Luster Paper LU101 in use.
All other Turboprint configuration settings are at defaults.
Seems I need to tweak Config, Color Tab, options?
What of "profiles", dont my config selections auto select a color profile?

Hello,

can you please post a photo of the nozzle test page from the TurboPrint Control menu "Toolbox", button "Nozzle Check" - it should look like this:

Also, please post a photo of a "cartoonish" looking printout.

Yeah looks like black isnt coming. Loaded is new canon CLI-42 8 color ink.
Which clean print head option do you recommend?

I took steps to clear the blockage (by soaking print head in a solution) and I'm all good now.
thanks YSS
