[SOLVED] Alignment problem with C5 envelopes

Hi,

When I print my company logo on A4 portrait, it is exactly aligned per the specs of the page layout. However, when I change the paper size to C5 - landscape, the logo gets moved away an additional 1.7 cm from the paper edge.
I've tried to vary with the margins, top/bottom feed, but the misplacement is consistent.

Is it possible Turboprint uses faulty paper definitions?

Platform:
OpenSuSE openSUSE 11.2 (x86_64)
Turboprint 2.06-1
Canon ip4500

Thanks,
Koos

I just noticed I'm a few versions behind. I just installed turboprint-2.13-2.x86_64.rpm, deleted the current Pixma printer config and set up a new one. But the displacement has not changed.

Thanks,
Koos

Hello,

from which application did you print - OpenOffice Writer?

Hi zedonet,

Thanks for your reply. I'm using OO Writer indeed.

By now I've decided it is an OO bug/problem: I've taken my C5 envelope layout, set the printer to B5 (!) and retrofitted the C5 layout to B5 paper.
This setup gives me a dead accurate alignment.

Somewhere down the line the initial C5 -> A4 setup gets bust.

I propose this is not a Turboprint issue.

Thanks again for your time.,
Koos
