Hi,
to allow the use of my old Canon iP4600 I tried printFab for Mac. Basically it works fine, but there is always an error message during printing.
See file"Error message 1.jpg".
This happens because I have renamed a folder in the path: '/Library/Printers/' from "Canon" to 'Alt Canon". I I leave the name with 'Canon" the printing with the PrintFab Driver will not work and another error message is then appearing.
See file"Error message 2.jpg".
I have upgraded from a MacMini (Intel core i7) with MacOS 15.x.x to a MacStudio with an M4 (arm) and MacOS 26.2. After migrating from the old MacMini to the new MacStudio M4 the printer was not longer working. Therefore I have installed the PrintFab driver which is generally working, but still I cannot get rid of these ridiculous error messages.
Any idea is welcome.

Hello, I recommend to remove all printer entries for your printer in the macOS "System Settings" -> "Printers & Scanners" and then to add the printer again using the PrintFab Toolbox.
If this does not help, you can also try to reset the printing system:
- Open macOS "System Settings" -> "Printers & Scanners"
- right click on a printer entry and select "Reset printing system"
- then add your printer in PrintFab Toolbox again
